MICHAEL PETERS – Chief Executive Officer

Michael has been in the financial services industry for 25+ years. He has had vast experience and success in a number of organization where he has successfully combined a strong focus on the needs of customers and developing the products and services they need. Early in his career Michael headed retail banking in Victoria for Chase AMP Bank and then Bank of New Zealand. He became Chief Executive Officer at NRMA Building Society and together with his management team grew that business to be the largest Building Society in Australia before selling to HSBC Bank. Michael then held a number of Senior Executive positions with HSBC including, Head of Sales and Distribution, Head of Wealth Management, he then created the Direct Financial Services division and became Head of Direct Financial Services. More recently he was the Chief Executive Office of the multi award winning online business, eChoice. Michael has recently joined Top Choice Home Loans with the sole purpose of creating a business that truly provides customers with choices for their home loan needs. Choices in both the type and number of loans offered as well as choices in how customers want to do business.

PAUL LONG – Director, Sales and Marketing

Paul has over 20 years marketing experience with some of Australia’s blue chip organisations. Beginning at the ANZ, Paul gained marketing experience across both retail and commercial banking. After the ANZ, he held marketing positions within Australia Post and Pacific Dunlop. He then ran the marketing function for Tabcorp Wagering (TAB), which included sports and horse racing wagering. Paul then took up the role as General Manager, Marketing and Customer Acquisition at eChoice. Besides growing eChoice into the best online mortgage broker in Australia, he also won the ‘Most Effective Internet Presence’ award at the 2006 Australian Mortgage Awards. Along with Michael, Paul has recently joined Top Choice Home Loans to create a business that offers choice of products and service to assist home buyers finance the most important decision of their lives.

JANINE ANDERSEN – General Manager Customer Service

Commencing her banking career with the NAB Janine has been in the financial services industry for over 25 years. Janine has held numerous management and senior management positions during this time with; ChaseAMP Bank, Household Building Society, Over 50’s Building Society, IOOF Building Society and HSBC Australia. In 2004 Janine joined eChoice to establish their customer service framework and supporting processes. With a strong commitment to ensure all customers receive the highest level customer service throughout what can be a frustrating and confusing process, in excess of 95% of customers rated the service they received as good or better. Janine has joined Michael and Paul at Top Choice Home Loans to focus on the delivery of exceptional customer service to all of Top Choices customers.

PETER CATRAMADOS – Non-executive Director

Peter commenced his banking/financial services career in 1970. Peter held numerous senior executive positions with Household Financial Services where he reached the level of Assistant Vice President. He later moved into the Building Society industry where he became the Assistant General Manager of Compass Building Society. He also held a number of board positions with various Co-Operative Housing Societies that Compass managed. Peter then started Independent Mortgage Corporation (IMC) due to Peter’s strongly held belief that the home loan market needed a greater level of independent and unbiased advice. After 10 years of successfully developing IMC the business was sold. As well as being a Victorian State Councillor for the Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia (MFAA) for 8 years he was also the past Chairman of the Victorian Originators committee and is still a member of the MFAA tribunal.

In recognition of his contribution to the industry Peter was a recent recipient of the MFAA’s highest award, Fellow of the Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia.

STEVEN KLOSS - Non-executive director

As a father and employer of hundreds of young people, Steven is passionate about the issues faced by people trying to find the right loan to buy their homes. He understands that for those who are buying a first home it is a massive step in the development of a person's life - creating pride, responsibility and a real sense of ownership. Steven is passionate about ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to find the right home loan using the channel that suits them. Top Choice Home Loans was developed to support and make our customers home ownership dreams a reality.

Steven has extensive experience in the online space and is a founding shareholder and director of carsales.com.au.

STEPHEN MOULTON - Consultant to the board

With an extensive and successful career in commercial law and involved in the foundation of PLAN Australia (Australia's second largest mortgage broker), Stephen founded Top Choice Home Loans when he realised there was nothing in the online space which offered home buyers independent information, real choice in loan options and options to access loans as well contacts to help them make their great Australian dreams a reality. Like many others who have children (Stephen has three children, two of whom are teenagers), he is extremely concerned about how young people will be able to afford housing in the future and believes Top Choice Home Loans can play a critical role in lobbying Governments to take real ownership of a looming problem that will only worsen without serious intervention and help.

Stephen has been actively involved in advising many people in the finance and property industries and brings a wealth of commercial and legal experience to Top Choice Home Loans.
